Dallman, Benjamin Franklin (20 October 1903 - 6 September 1967)

Benjamin Franklin Dallman, 63, of Greenwood, died September 6, in Neillsville following a long illness. He had been in the hospital for 17 days prior to his death. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Immanuel United Church on Rt. 2, Greenwood. The Rev. David Logue officiated and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Dallman was born October 20, 1903, in Ashford, Fond du Lac County. He was the son of the late Fred and Minnie (Karon) Dallman. He attended Colby schools. On June 1, 1931, he was married to the former Bertha Metcalf at the home of her parents in the Town of Reseburg.

They lived in New London, where Mr. Dallman had employment with the Wisconsin Telephone Company for five years. They then resided for two years on the present LeRoy Metcalf farm, northwest of Greenwood. For 32 years they lived on the Dallman farm, 11 ½ miles northwest of Greenwood. In June of 1967 they moved into their new home in Greenwood.

Mr. Dallman was machine operator for 27 years for the Town of Reseburg. He was a member of the Oakland School board, a fire warden, a member of the Immanuel United Church and of the Lions Club of Thorp.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Larry and Allan, both of Greenwood; three brothers, William of Buffalo City, Alvin of Oshkosh and Edwin of Lomira; and by two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Dohrman of Horicon and Mrs. Martha Davis of Colby.

The Hill Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
