Hoppe, Robert H. (27 NOV 1937 - 14 NOV 2012)

Robert H. Hoppe, age 74, of Abbotsford, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his home in Abbotsford. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home in Abbotsford.

Robert was born November 27, 1937 to Harley and E. LaVonne (Boutwell) Hoppe in Waupaca, Wisconsin. He graduated from Waupaca High School in 1955, and first enlisted in the Navy in 1964 at Milwaukee. Robert served at duty stations at the Naval Air Station Barber's Point in Hawaii, Naval Air Station Agana in Guam, and Moffett Field in California. He is a veteran of service in Vietnam and he holds the Navy Achievement Medal, among other awards. After serving in the military for 21 years, Robert was an insurance salesman. He enjoyed wood working and fishing.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Susan Hoppe of Medford, daughter-in-law, Sheala Hoppe of Dorchester, his grandchildren: RaeAnn, Emmanuel, Josephine, Jacob, and Xavier, and sister, Beverly (Jerry) Dulski of Neenah.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Kip Hoppe.
