Imp, Agnes (23 FEB 1963)
Miss Agnes Imp, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John Imp of Milwaukee, and Ronald Weix
of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.),
route 1, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, Feb. 23, 1963 in St. Anthony's
Catholic Church, Menomonee Falls. The Rev. Joseph Reichling read the double ring
service at 10:30 o'clock before the nuptial high mass.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a satin gown
designed with long sleeves and a floor length sheath skirt, with a ball-gown
overskirt with a bow as a semi-train. A crown of pearls held her fingertip veil
and she carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations, rosebuds, and stephanotis
with ivy.
Attending her as maid of honor was her friend, Miss Sally Heiss of Milwaukee.
Her sister, Mrs. Ronald Rewald, and Miss Ann Davis of Ft. Wayne, Ind. Were the
bridesmaids, and another sister, Miss Marion Imp, was the junior bridesmaid.
They were all dressed alike in frocks of pink silk organza, designed with long
sleeves and street length bell shaped skirts. They wore headpieces made of a
large pink organza rose with a bow and carried bouquets of white carnations,
pink rosebuds and ivy. The maid of honor carried a bouquet of red roses, white
stephanotis and ivy.
Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Michael Weix of Sacramento,
Calif., Omar Dix and Ronald Rewald of Milwaukee.
John and James Imp, brothers of the bride, performed the ushering duties.
For the ceremony the bride's mother chose a beige silk ensemble and Mrs. Weix
had a dusty rose silk dress. Both mothers had corsages of yellow roses.
Mrs. Frank Imp of Milwaukee, grandmother of the bride, had a corsage of pink
roses.
After the ceremony, brunch was served at teh school hall, followed by a
reception at the Racquet Club at Elm Grove.
Mr. and Mrs. Weix left on a honeymoon trip to Florida and after March 6 will be
at home at 4835 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee.
The groom, a graduate of the Abbotsford High School, is employed at Milwaukee
Wire Products and also attends the Milwaukee School of Engineering. His bride is
a graduate of Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, and was a member of the Beta Beta
Beta Sorority.
Guests from this area who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix,
Route 1, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Bach and two sons, Route 1, Dorchester; Dr.
and Mrs. Frank Weix and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Weix of Colby, and Mr. and Mrs.
Dale Thompson, Greenwood.
