Olson, Harry O. (15 JUN 1890 - 31 MAR 1963)
Harry A. Olson, 72 years old, of Abbotsford, died Sunday morning, March 31,
1963, of a heart ailment, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where hew as
taken in the Abbotsford ambulance Thursday. The body lay in state at the
Polnaszek Funeral Home until Wednesday noon when it was taken to Christ Lutheran
Church for services at 2 o'clock. The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated at the
church services and at the interment made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Harry A. Olson was born June 15, 1890 at Winchester and when he was eight years
old, his parents moved to a farm east of Abbotsford. He was educated in the town
of Holton schools.
He was married to Mary Zahorka at Abbotsford Nov. 26, 1913, and was a resident
of Abbotsford the past 44 years.
Mr. Olson was a cheesemaker, having owned and operated the Abbotsford Cheese
Factory at the present site of Danielson Cleaners. Mr. Olson retired from the
cheese making bsuiness in 1946.
He served as a trustee of the village of Abbotsford and was a member of the
Christ Lutheran congregation.
Surviving him are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John (Mildred) Hanson, Westboro;
and one son, Harvey of Wis. Rapids; six grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. One brother, Clarence Olson of Marshfield also survives.
