Budde, Eleanor (10 OCT 1905 - 16 APR 1963)

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Budde, 57, Route 2, Spencer, who died April 16, 1963 at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, were held Friday morning at Christ the King Catholic Church. The Rev. John B. Pinion, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, Officiated at the 10 o'clock mass of requiem, followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The pallbearers were Gene Barnet, Lester Brusewitz, Earl Butler, Orville Wesburg, Edward Winkler, and Milton Wolfe.

Mrs. Budde was born Eleanor Ringquist, Oct. 10, 1905 in Unity, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Ringquist, no deceased. She attended Romeo School, rural Spencer, and was married to Andrew Johnson at Unity in 1926. Mr. Johnson died in 1931.

Shortly after that, Mrs. Johnson and two sons made their home at Abbotsford, where she was employed as cook and waitress at Baxter's Cafe and the Henry Duellman tavern.

Her second marriage took place at Colby to Frank Budde, who survives her. They lived on a farm five miles west of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.) until a year and a half ago when they moved to their present farm, Route 2, Spencer. Mrs. Budde was in failing health for the past three years.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Raymond Johnson of Tomahawk; and Glendon Johnson of Longwood; and four grandchildren. She also has one brother, Lloyd Ringquist of Spencer.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral came from Tomahawk, Longwood, Beaver Dam, Madison, Waterford, Hamburg, Menasha, Appleton, Westboro, Wausau, Loyal, Unity, Colby, Abbotsford and the surrounding area.
