Staron, Karen Marie “Pickle” (22 December 1953 -18 November 2012)

Karen Marie “Pickle” Staron, age 58, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012, at C & C Homestead. Karen was born on December 22, 1953, in Elmhurst, IL, to John C and Edith A (nee Gostomski) Staron. She had attended Martin Enger School and worked for Career Industries in Burlington.

Karen love people and people in return loved her. She was always smiling and had a happy disposition. Karen loved her Little House on the Prairie book.

Survivors include her mother, Edith Staron; and siblings: Dennis (Pidge) Staron, Ron (Janice) Staron, Doug (Holly) Staron, Kathleen (Mike) Keegan, Randy (Sue) Staron and Kimberly (Ed) Pike. Karen was preceded in death by her father, John Staron; and a brother, Jeff Staron.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at 12:00 noon at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home with Rev. Mick Savio officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family asks that you please honor Karen by wearing her favorite colors, pink and purple. Private burial will take place in Thorp, WI. Memorials have been suggested to Career Industries in Burlington, or to Bethesda Lutheran Community, 600 Hoffman Dr., Watertown, WI 53094 att: Camp Matz.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Chuck and Carol Rowntree and their helpers for taking such good care of Karen. “We could never thank you enough.”
