Silo filling, potato digging and threshing all at the same time makes us farmers hustle.

Dale Fulwiler motored over from Marshfield last Sunday morning and called on his parents.

The Luebke threshing rig is in this neighborhood at present.

A few days ago while Victor Vincent was hitching up his colt for a drive, it became unruly and pushed Victor up against a stack and the end of the thill entered below his left arm, inflicting a bad wound. He has to carry his arm in a sling.

Mrs. E.E. Fulwiler and children of Loyal are spending a few days here with relatives.

E.J. Root has been assisting Dan Timerson with silo filling the past few days.

Mrs. Grace Rowe and daughter Merle spent Tuesday with Mrs. Jennie Fulwiler.

Carl Diercks is assisting John Lastofka with the farm work.

The cheese factory shut down on account of the cheesemaker being called to serve Uncle Sam.

A basket social takes place in the school house next Friday night.

Anticipation is a great thing - sometimes. We anticipated a great corn crop and that the war would end in September, but we have another guess coming and can keep on anticipating.

Emil Pease was on the sick list for a few days.
