New was received here of the birth of a little son to Mr. and Mrs. Hasz of
Reedsburg, Wis. Mrs. Hasz will be remembered as Helen Sternitzky.
Mrs. Heines of Belvidere, Ill. is visiting Mrs. John Martin this week.
Misses Bertha and Ardena Helm have returned from their visit with their brother
Carl at Forest Junction.
Mrs. R.T. Washburn entertained the Carnation Art Club last Thursday. The Red
Cross work was taken up and some plans made.
Mrs. John Lenhardt, who has been sick for some time was taken tot he St.
Joseph's Hospital and underwent a successful operation on Tuesday. Her husband
John Lenhardt returned from Elgin, Minn. on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Witt autoed to Marshfield Monday and that evening attended the
theatre.
Louis Elmhorst is enjoying a visit from his father and brother of Chicago this
week.
Miss Martha Sternitzky returned from Wrightsville Saturday and on Monday left
for Illinois to visit her sister, Susan.
Pete Smythe now drives a Ford touring car just received this week.
Paul Folz and Albert Marg Transacted business at Marshfield Tuesday.
Frieda Williams spent Sunday at home.
L. Montag returned to Eau Claire the fore part of last week.
Fred Olson, private of Co. K, 6th regiment of Wisconsin, came up from Camp
Douglas last week to visit his sister Mrs. Herman Wordell and bid his friends
farewell before leaving.
Mr. and Mrs. Wendfeldt and children of Spirit Falls visited Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Sternitzky last week.
News was received here that there was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bierwagen of
California, a son. Mrs. Bierwagen will be remembered as Miss Bertha Sternitzky.
