Dan Hughes was up from Menomonie Wednesday and attended the funeral of the late
Mrs. Susan Counsell.
Mrs. Carl Kuechenmeister is quite ill and under the care of a professional nurse
since Thursday. Her mother, Mrs. Nickel, is with her and helping in the care of
the baby. The baby though is exceptionally well and happy.
Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Kuechenmeister and Miss Paulson autoed to Park Falls Sunday
and visited Mr. and Mrs. Emil Peterson and were accompanied home by Miss Gladys
Peterson. Enroute home all visited at Wm. Mace's in Rib Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. John Benedict of Nebraska, Mr. and Mrs. Lon Huckstead and daughter
Mae spent Monday evening at Clemens Kuechenmeister's.
Ira Slocomb and Miss Mable Weingarten spent Friday evening with the young folks
at Mrs. Mary Hubing's.
The Misses Mary Slocomb, Mary Huckstead, Mable Weingarten, and Miss Ora Phelps,
in the Slocomb car, with the latter at the wheel, suffered an auto spill, a
complete turnover, on the Ridge road last Saturday, which fortunately resulted
in no more serious results than a badly wrecked car. The girls were fortunately
thrown clear of the wreckage and escaped with slight bruises and had frights.
A particularly large delegation of Neillsville friends autoed out and attended
the funeral of the late Mrs. Susan Counsell from the James Hughes home
Wednesday.
