Mr. and Mrs. Rice Davis, Mrs. J. M. Tompkins and Miss Lulu Beecher autoed out and visited the Gardner McClaflin family at Arpin on Sunday.

Mrs. Gus Deutsch and little daughters are here from Neillsville since Saturday visiting the Bruno Dudei and Joe Goebel families.

Mrs. Joseph Hinds of Belvidere, Ill. came Tuesday and remained here until Wednesday evening, a guest of the John Martin family in Lynn.

Mrs. Adam Paulus of Marshfield and Mrs. Lulu White of Chicago autoed over from Marshfield Tuesday and called on Mrs. Baer, an old friend.

Mrs. Mattie Rand of Greenwood is visiting her daughter Mrs. Ernest Dixon since last Saturday when she accompanied Mrs. Dixon home by auto.

Mrs. Schreiber of Plymouth, accompanied by her daughter Mrs. Wm. Hintz of Adell, arrived here Monday evening on a visit to the former's sister, Mrs. Dora Garbush.

Mrs. Frank Dangerfield and Clifford E. Ives of Madison, after a week's visit between the G.W. Ives and Home Spry families on Route 1, and the Will Malage and Will Carpenter families in Marshfield, went home Saturday.

Miss Alma Schuelke, with Mrs. Henry Paape and sons Gordon and Ralph of Milwaukee, arrived here late last week on a visit to their parents Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke and other relatives in this vicinity.

Mrs. E.R. Wonser and daughter Elizabeth are visiting relatives in Sheboygan County and are taking pleasure trips in the southern part of the state since last Friday.

E.R. Wonser joined his wife and daughter Elizabeth at Plymouth Sunday and spent the day with them, returning home Monday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lowery spent Wednesday with their daughter Mrs. Ray Campbell at Neillsville and made the acquaintance of the new Campbell baby, a girl born Aug. 30th and is the third child born to Mr. and Mrs. Campbell.

Miss Margaret Guenther, after spending some time with her uncle Chas. Riedel, returned home to Hokah, Minn. She was accompanied by her cousin Miss Katherine Bladl, who will spend some time there.

Harry Davis, in anticipating of going into the Omaha Ry. Employ as a passenger brakeman, made several student trips in that capacity, from Merrillan to St. Paul, last week.

Mrs. J.P. Johnson Jr. and son Loren Russell of Crawford, Neb., left here Monday to spend the balance of the week with relatives at Black River Falls.

Invitations have been issued to the music lovers of Neillsville and vicinity for a recital to be given by Miss Marie Kaiser, the beautiful and popular New York concert soprano. Miss Kaiser is an artist of distinction, her voice is full of warmth, admirable controlled and she has a personality that wins instantly. This is Miss Kaiser's first tour since her appearance as principal soloist with the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra and a rare treat is in store for local music lovers. We understand Miss Kaiser will in some way attempt the seemingly impossible feat of singing duets with herself.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Davis, who came up from Milwaukee last week Wednesday with his mother, visited at his brother John D. Davis in York until Friday, when they left on the return trip, leaving grandma Davis at John's for an extended visit.

Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Struble and her little daughter Genevieve came over from Neillsville early this week for a visit at the home of his parents on Route 3.

Mrs. Joe Goebel has been very ill and confined to her bed for several weeks past. Her daughters Mrs. Deutsch and Mrs. Lutz of Neillsville are alternating in visiting her and assisting in her care.

Edmund Garbush is home since Friday and again a private citizen, having failed to pass the physical examination he was subjected to at the army camp in Rockford, Ill. Thus he is exempt from the draft.

Mrs. Henry Lutz and three week old baby Joseph, after a week's visit to Grandpa and Grandma Goebel on Route 3, went home to Neillsville on Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Forman of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Forman of Christie were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. Stevens.

Rev. and Mrs. J. Reiff and sons Edward and Gerhardt, with Rev. Ahl of Oshkosh, left on Monday for Lebanon where they will visit relatives and attend conference.

Mr. and Mrs. John Furgeson and son Roy went to Edgerton Monday to spend the balance of the week with friends there.

Word from Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kurth, Mr. and Mrs. Will Kurth and Mrs. Leo Moench, who left here last week Tuesday by auto for Buffalo, N.Y., is to the effect that they arrived at their destination at 4 o'clock last Saturday p.m. and had traveled 934 miles in the five days trip. They have since enjoyed a trip and visit at Niagara Falls, and have visited some of Niagara County's big peach orchards where crops this year excels any of the last ten years. At Cleveland, Ohio they saw vineyards covering thousands of acres. The grapes though are not ripe yet nor will be for two weeks. All are enjoying the trip and before coming home early in October, they will have visited in Canada.

Miss Martha Sternitzky of Lynn went to Sheffield, Ill. Monday on an extended visit. Her mother, Mrs. James Sternitzky, accompanied her as far as Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Cole are home from Ogdensburg since last week Thursday. Mrs. Cole, who has been very ill with pleurisy, is only up and about her home again, since Tuesday.

Miss Myrtle Knorr, with 17 of her pupils, gave a piano recital last Saturday afternoon at the Knorr home, which proved a very pleasant social affair.
