Brehm, Elroy V. (18 JUL 1908 - 24 APR 1963)
Elroy V. Brehm, 54, died unexpectedly at his home in Colby, Wednesday, April 24,
1963, about 5:30 p.m. Mr. Brehm was employed as bookkeeper and salesman of the
Johnson Block and Lumber Co. at Colby.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran
Church at Colby with the Rev. L.A. Urman of Withee officiating. During the
services Kenneth Schultz, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Lawrence Priem, sang
"The Lord is My Shepherd" and "I Am but a Stranger Here."
The pallbearers for the interment made in the Colby Cemetery were Delphin
Dommer, Leonard Dommer, Harold Klessig, Dale Reis, Wilbur Schmitt and Frank
Schoenfuss.
Mr. Brehm was born July 18, 1908 in the town of Hull and was educated in the
Pleasant Hill School in the township and the Colby High School. He and Miss
Helen Thieme were united in marriage Jan. 15, 1931, at Curtiss (Clark Co.,
Wis.).The couple farmed in the town of Hull until 1954 when they moved to Colby.
Mr. Brehm served on the school board for Pleasant Hill District and later on teh
board for the Colby High School.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Clyde, Kewaskum, and Richard, at home; two
daughters, Mrs. William (Adell) Frome, Colby, and Miss Muriel Brehm, Wausau;
three grandchildren; a brother, Lester Brehm, Luverne, Minn., and three sisters,
Mrs. Edwin (Leona) Evanson, Milwaukee; Mrs. Ray (Madeline) Gries, Colby, and
Mrs. Gordon (Irene) Ewald, Unity.
Relatives and friends attending the funeral came from Luverne and Prior Lake,
Minn., Jefferson, Kewaskum, Sheboygan, Oconomowoc, Lake Mills, Milwaukee,
Chippewa Falls, Wausau, Unity, Colby and surrounding area.

Bane, Claude J. (14 FEB 1884 - 28 APR 1963)
Funeral services fro Claude J. Bane, 79, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield, Sunday afternoon, were held Wednesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the
Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mr. Bane suffered a heart attack Sunday morning and was taken to the hospital,
where he died at 2:40 p.m.
The Rev. Carl Serr officiated at the services, and interment followed in the
Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lavern Polster, Fred Schwierske, Bernard Tesmer, Vernon Loos,
Howard Bane and Pete Wilde.
Claude J. Bane was born Feb. 14, 1884 in Iowa City, Ia., and he farmed there
until 1928, when he came to Colby. He had been active in the cattle business
until his retirement about six years ago.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Howard of Colby, Russell of Arcadia,
Calif., and Robert of Burbank, Calif., a brother, Albert Bane of Iowa City, Ia.,
and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Clark of Sioux City, Ia., and Winnie of Cedar
Rapids, Iowa.

Hutchins, Sidney E. (27 APR 1881 - 21 APR 1963)
Sidney E. Hutchins, 81, prominent Edgar businessman, who is well known in this
area, died Sunday, April 21, 1963 at 7:30 p.m. at the Memorial Hospital in
Wausau, after a short illness.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Presbyterian
Church in Edgar. The Rev. Dr. David Buzza, pastor of First Presbyterian Church
of Wausau, officiated, and burial was made in the Pine Grove Cemetery at Wausau.
Pallbearers were Charles Ramaker, Frank Zahrobsky, Loddie Loskot, Arthur
Hoesley, Merle Gregerson and Harry Boarse.
Organist was Miss Dorothy Piehl and soloist Mrs. Norville Justmann sang "Sunset
and Evening Star" and "Near to the Heart of God.."
Mr. Hutchins was born April 27, 1881, in the Town of Hutchins, Shawano County,
the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Hutchins. On Nov. 12, 1907, he married
Miss Emma Benson in Wausau,a nd she died April 1, 1945. He taught school in the
rural area of Shawano County, and owned and managed the Clover Leaf Lumber Co.
at Edgar for 40 years, until his retirement five years ago. He was a member of
the Masonic Lodge of Wausau and the Edgar Lions Club.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Lowell Myers, Maryville, Tenn., and Mrs.
Marilyn Lindow of Chili; a sister, Miss Martha Hutchins of Edgar, and six
grandchildren.

Juneau, Effie A. (16 AUG 1898 - 26 APR 1963)
Mrs. Frank G. Juneau, 64, of 310 N. Grove St., Chippewa Falls, died Friday
evening at St. Joseph's Hosptial where she was admitted the previous day.
Mrs. Juneau was the former Effie A. Olson, who was born in Abbotsford Aug. 16,
1898, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Olson. She was educated in the
Abbotsford schools and was graduated from the Abbotsford High School.
After her marriage to Frank Juneau of Wausau on July 2, 1924, they lived at
Chippewa Falls until her death.
For the past 15 years Mrs. Juneau was the secretary-treasurer of the Juneau
Jobbing Co. in Eau Claire.
She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, the Ladies' Aid and the Order of
Eastern Star No. 112 of Chippewa Falls and served as chapter pianist for a
number of years.
Surviving her are her husband and son, Donald, Chippewa Falls, and daughter,
Mrs. Ruth M. Huberty of White Bear Lake, and two grandchildren. She also leaves
a brother, Milton Olson of Wausau, and two sisters, Mrs. R.H. (Emma) Treat and
Mrs. Alphonse (Adelaide) Firnstahl of Abbotsford.
Her parents preceded her in death, and one brother, Dell Olson, and one sister,
Mrs. Al (Josie) Strebe.
The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
Hogesth-Pederson Funeral Chapel in Chippewa Falls, with the Rev. S. Philip
Froiland of Central Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was made in Forest
Hills Cemetery.
Among those attending the rites were Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Treat and Mr. and Mrs.
Alphonse Firnstahl of Abbotsford, and Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Olson of Wausau, and
Mrs. Helen Broeren of Merrill.

Judith E. Schleicher of Colby, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bjorn of Owen,
was given in marriage by her father, to Kenneth H. Leonhard of Abbotsford
Saturday evening, April 27, 1963, at Christ Lutheran Church. The candlelight
ceremony took place at 8 o'clock with the Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating at the
double ring exchange of vows. Miss Dorothy Kieser played the processional and
recessional marches and Miss Donna Ehrenriech, accompanied by Miss Jackie
Scheel, sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "The Song of Ruth."
The bride wore a ballerina length gown of Chantilly type lace over aqua bridal
bouquet taffeta. The fitted basque had long sleeves and a scalloped Sabrina
neckline enhanced with sequins and pearls. The controlled skirt was styled with
glittering sequins down the front and the softly gathered back was accented by a
cabbage rose at the waist. She wore a headpiece with a blush veil and carried
pink roses.
Attending her as maid of honor was a friend, Miss Carol Buss of Owen, Mrs.
Harvey Witt of Curtiss, a sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid. They were
attired alike in street length dresses of aqua organza designed with a fitted
bodice, cap sleeves and a bateau neckline, dropping to a V in the back. The
double bouffant skirsts were detailed with a small bow at the front. They wore
matching pill box hats and each attendant carried one long stemmed white rose.
Harvey Witt of Curtiss was the best man for his brother-in-law, and Don Oehler
of Abbotsford, friend, was the groomsman. Two other friends, Kenneth Wilhelmi
and Kenneth Kalepp, performed the ushering duties.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the Abbotsford...( a
couple of line were missing here)..Mr. and Mrs. Emil Daellenbach.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Leonhard are making their home in Colby where the bride is
employed as cost clerk in the office of Packaging Corp. of America and the groom
is employed there in the plant.

Delaware St., Oshkosh, became the bride of Dennis C. Wiegman, 1091 N. Oakwood
Road, Oshkosh, in a ceremony started by the Rev. Harold Kleinhaus at 3 p.m.
Saturday, April 20, 1963 in Martin Lutheran Church.
With the bride were her maid of honor, Miss Marcia Tank, Milwaukee; the
bridesmaids, Miss Liz Boehning, Stevens Point, and Miss Carol Heller, Neenah,
and the flower girl, Wendy Pfaffenroth, Madison.
Ronald Meyer, Colby, was best man; Gerald Pfaffenroth, Madison, brother of the
bride, and Lynn Kraus, groomsmen, and William Altenberger, Chicago, and William
Pfaffenroth, brother othe bride, ushers.
The bridal party and immediate families were served a 5 o'clock buffet supper at
Legion on the Lake , where the newlyweds hosted a dance. They will honeymoon in
the Upper Peninsula of Michigan before taking up residence at 308A Bowen St.,
Oshkosh.
The bride, a graduate of of Oshkosh High School, is employed in the trust
department of First National Bank.
The bridegroom, who completed a short course at Madison, is attending Oshkosh
State College while working at Cowan Farms, Oshkosh.
The Wiegmans are former Colby residents, and the groom is the grandson of Mrs.
Martha Rahn of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. John Marx of Marshfield.
Among those from this area who attended are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Edblom and
daughter Charlene, and Mrs. Martha Rahn of Unity, Arvin Stock and Mrs. Art
Wiersig of Colby.

Twin sons were born April 26, 1963 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, to Mr.
and Mrs. Ambrose Schuh. The baby boys have been named Ronald and Donald. Ronald
weighed seven pounds, two ounces and Donald weighed six pounds, five ounces at
birth. There are four other children at home. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Art
Schuh and Mr. and Mrs. John Burthand of Owen.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schauer of Abbotsford, Route 1, have named their son Todd
Michel. He was born Tuesday, April 23, 1963 at St. Joseph's Hospital,
Marshfield, and weighed six pounds, twelve ounces. The Schauers have two other
sons and a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Schauer and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Venzke,
all of rural Abbotsford, are the grandparents.
