Miss Midge Bowen, daughter of Mrs. Mary Bowen, and Floyd Ackerman, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Ackerman, all of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage
Friday
Afternoon, May 3, 1963. Judge Schoengarth performed the ceremony in the
courthouse at Neillsville at 2 o'clock.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Ackerman of Owen, brother and
sister-in-law of the groom.
The bride wore a white street length frock and had a corsage of pink carnations,
cymbidium orchid and lily of the valley. Her matron of honor was attired in
beige accented with a corsage of red and white carnations.
A wedding supper was served at 7 o'clock to the immediate families at the home
of the groom's parents.
After the couple return from their wedding trip they will live in their mobile
home at Owen. The groom is employed as a mechanic at Auberg's Chevrolet Garage.
The bride is a 1962 graduate of the Abbotsford High School adn attended Taylor
County Teachers College at Medford. The groom attended the Eau Claire Vocational
School.
