Spry, Audrey P. (22 DEC 1920 - 1 NOV 2012)

Audrey P. Spry, 91 of Abbotsford died on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

A gathering of remembrance will be Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Marshfield Eagles Club from 11am until 1pm. Burial of her cremains will be in Windfall Cemetery, Granton at a later date.

Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Audrey was born on December 22, 1920 in the town of Unity, Clark County to Earl and Theresa (Beechler) Pickett. She graduated from Granton High School and the UW Stevens Point with a degree in teaching.

She was united in marriage in Granton to Robert L. Spry on August 18, 1951. He died on 2006.

She taught 3rd grade at Granton Schools for 41 years before retiring. They owned an A & W Root Beer stand in Waupaca and one in Paris, IL during the summer months. They sold Christmas trees in Colorado from the Pierce Tree Company in Central Wisconsin and worked at the Marshfield Canning Company during the summers.

She is survived by three sisters-in-law, Sylvia Pickett of Spencer, Nancy Anderson of Nekoosa and Ruth Lehman of Virginia.

Besides her parents and husband Robert, she was preceded in death by one sister Ione Cooper, two brothers Rex and Jack Pickett and a niece Laura Lee Pickett.
