Benedict, Harvey Lee (4 June 1916 - 17 September 1967)
Joint funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Methodist Church
in Loyal for Arthur Judd, 79, of Loyal, who died Sunday in Neillsville, and for
Harvey Lee Benedict, 61, a nephew of Mr. Judd of Caledonia, who died Sunday
while enroute to Loyal to make funeral arrangements for his uncle.
The Rev. Lelan and Ellen Shaw officiated. Burials were made in the Loyal
Cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home in Loyal was in charge of arrangements.
Arthur Judd was born May 24, 1888, in Dodge County, and when a young man came to
the Loyal area, where he had resided, except for 10 years when he lived in
Spring Valley. He never married.
His survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Harvey Lee Benedict was born June 4, 1916, in the Town of York. He was engaged
in farming in that community until 12 years ago when he moved to Caledonia. He
was an employee of American Motors at the time of his death.
He was married April 28, 1953, in Dubuque, Ia., to the former Rosabel Ladwig.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Gale at home; and a step-son, Gene Tess,
who is with the armed forces in Vietnam.
