Younker, Anton (1 AUG 1878 - 21 MAY 1963)
Funeral services for Anton Younker, 84, Colby, who died Tuesday at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield, will be held Friday, May 24, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby, with the Rev. John Pinion officiating.
A rosary service will be held tonight, May 23, at 8:10 p.m.
Burial will be in the Dorchester Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby.
Mr. Younker was born in Germany on Aug. 1, 1878, and he came to Wisconsin at the
age of five with his parents. They settled on a farm west of Dorchester.
His marriage to Rosa Behring, who survives him, took place at Dorchester on May
19, 1909. The couple lived on a farm two miles west and one-half mile north of
Dorchester until 1955, when he retired and they moved to a home in Colby.
Mr. Younker was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rudolph Younker, Norwood, Minn.;
Norbert younker, Dorchester; and four daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Eva) Kind,
Germantown, Wis.; Mrs. George (Vera) Henning, Abbotsford; Mrs. Gilbert (Loretta)
Fritsche, Dorchester; and Mrs. Reynold (Alma) Nuernberger, Stetsonville. There
are also 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
