Younker, Darlene (03 June 1961)
During a wedding ceremony before the Rev. V. A. Ganz in Trinity Lutheran Church
Saturday, June 3, Darlene Younker became the bride of Harvey Haslow. The church
was decorated with purple and white lilacs for the 2 o’clock ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Rudolph Younker of Abbotsford and the late Mrs.
Younker and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Haslow, route 1.
For her wedding the bride chose a gown of nylon sheer over taffeta styled with a
Sabrina neckline fitted bodice and long tapered sleeves. Her full bouffant skirt
was trimmed with Alencon lace and tiers of nylon ruffles extended down the back
of the skirt. A fingertip veil of imported tulle was caught to her headpiece of
rhinestones and seed pearls and she carried a colonial cascade of roses,
srephanotis and ivy.
