Miller, Lydia: (28 Feb 1888-01 July 1961)
Rev. V. A. Ganz officiated at the funeral for Mrs. Lydia Miller, 73, of route 2,
Spencer, Saturday, July 1, at the Myre Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller died at 11:30
a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Interment was made in the
Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Philip Capelle, Julius Nystad, Julius Ehlert, Edd Dobbe, Chris
Olsen and Carl Sischo. Mrs. Erwin Dux, accompanied at the organ by Jean Noeldner
sang, “What a friend We Have in Jesus.”
The former Lydia Reinhart was born in Elgin, Iowa, February 28, 1888. Her first
marriage took place in 1912 to Henry Robinson at Maynard, Iowa. He died in 1938.
She was married to Fred Miller in October of 1940 at Elgin, Iowa. Her second
died in 1946. Mrs. Miller resided in Iowa until a few years ago when she came to
this area to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Henninger.
Survivors also include a son, Lester Robinson, King City, California; a sister,
Mrs. Mary Robinson, West Union, Iowa; seven grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren..
She was also preceded in death by a son, five brothers and a sister.
Those from out of town attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lezenhagen,
Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ciesielski, Independence, Iowa; and Mrs. Mary
Robinson, West Union, Iowa.
