Francis, Edward (25 Mar. 1893 – 28 June 1961)

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville for Edward L. Francis, 68, the father of Harold Francis. The Rev. Verlyn Nelson of the Assembly of God Church officiated and burial in the Neillsville Cemetery. Mr. Francis died Wednesday, June 28, his home in Neillsville.

Edward Linn Francis was born March 25, 1893 in Clark County and attended Loyal High School. For 15 months overseas in the Armed Forces & was discharged in 1919. He received his barber license in 1919 and served as a barber in Neillsville for 36 years and retired three years ago.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold of Loyal; and three grandchildren.

Attending the services from Loyal were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Francis and daughters, Mrs. James White, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Boeck, Mrs. V. O. Kauffman and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Colby.
