Eisentraut, Marian Rose (1 July 1882 - 26 September 1967)
Mrs. Marian Rose Eisentraut, 85, of Memorial Home, died Tuesday in Neillsville.
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 3 o’clock from the
Neillsville Methodist Church, with the Rev. William Dushek officiating. Burial
will be made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.
The former Marian Rose Ruege, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary
(Lunde) Ruege. She was born July 1, 1882, in the Town of Grant. She attended
school in Clark County and was a graduate of Neillsville High School.
She taught school before her marriage to Alvin Eisentraut on February 10, 1904,
in Neillsville. They farmed in the Town of Seif until 1908, when they moved onto
a farm in the town of Grant. In 1950 they retired and moved into Neillsville.
She had been a resident of Memorial Home since 1964.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Rudy Syth of Neillsville, Mrs. Paul
(Helen) Hemp of Rochester, Minn., Mrs. Willard (Alta) Allen of Neillsville and
Carl Eisentraut of rural Neillsville. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Emma
Hubbard of Oshkosh; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the Georgas Funeral Home on 4th Street this
(Thursday) afternoon to lie in state until time of service.
