Konkel, Jacob (6 APR 1868 - 30 APR 1963)
Jacob Konkel, 95, of Milwaukee, formerly of Milan, died April 30, 1963. Funeral
services were held at St. Casimir's Church and burial was made in Holy Cross
Cemetery, Milwaukee, May 4.
Mr. Konkel was born in Poland April 6, 1868 and came to Milwaukee in 1893. In
1915 the Konkels moved to near Milan where they farmed until 1939.
In 1941 Mr. and Mrs. Konkel returned to Milwaukee. Here Mrs. Konkel died July 1,
1953. Mr. Konkel then made his home with his son, Isadore, and daughter
Josephine, until his death.
Survivors include four sons: John, Isadore and Stanley of Milwaukee, and Frank
of Chicago, and four daughters: Mrs. Mike (Ethel) Bochanyin and Miss Josephine
Konkel, both of Milwaukee, Mrs. Andrew (Tillie) Zobrak, route 1, Abbotsford, and
Mrs. Hugo (Gertrude) Erickson, route 2, Colby.
There are 21 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6
great-great-grandchildren.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by five children.
