Ernest Sternitzky of this place and John Trimberger of Granton left Wednesday
for Colfax, Calif., where the former will visit his daughter Bertha.
John Altenburg is building a new silo, Arthur Yankee, Herman Schultz and John
Shafter doing the work.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke of Cobb, Wis., who autoed up here and visited the
Aug. Gotter family and Schuelke's on the Ridge road, returned home by auto on
Monday.
Misses Mary Wellner and Marie Benesch of Marshfield, on their way to Lindsey to
visit the former's brother, spent several hours in this place Tuesday.
Mrs. A.C.F. Witt and little daughter left last week to visit relatives in the
eastern part of the state.
Paul Folz and the John Lenhardt family moved to Marshfield on Monday.
Carl Burgie ahs returned to Lynn after an absence from here all summer.
Mrs. Fred Hankey, accompanied by Mrs. Wm. Simpson and Mrs. Kier, autoed to
Marshfield last Friday.
Mrs. Walter Sternitzky and children returned from Janesville Tuesday.
Miss Myrtle Cole, our teacher, will give a basket social and entertainment at
the schoolhouse Friday evening. Everybody is invited.
Wednesday afternoon, the many friends of Misses Ruby and Gertrude Martin gave
them a surprise shower. Many useful and beautiful gifts were given them. Their
wedding date has been set for Oct. 17th, where the two girls will be married the
same day. Miss Ruby to William Dankemyer of Chili, and Miss Gertrude to Arno
Ross of this place.
