W.B. Wentworth went home to Edgerton Tuesday night.

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Tompkins expect to leave for Rice Lake next week Thursday, where Mrs. Tompkins will probably spend the winter with her son Fred and his family, while Mr. Tompkins, who has accepted a position with the Rice lake Lumber Co., will go to Draper where he has a good position in the Lumber Co.'s headquarter camp and will remain until spring, at least.

In a letter from Eugene Pierrelee of Glenwood farm at Mellen, renewing his subscription to the newspaper, are informed that his brother, Atty. Victor E. Pierrelee of Ashland, again a patient at Mercy Hospital, Chicago, is heroically undergoing untold suffering there in the hope of bettering his rheumatic condition. Victor's many anxious friends here hope to hear of his returning health soon, and see him returned to his home at Ashland and in the resumption of his large and remunerative law practice there.

H.L. Bender returned home from St. Paul Friday.

Mrs. Albert Manthei was a Marshfield visitor on Friday.

Chris Wallace went to Merrillan Tuesday evening.

Henry Neinas is again on duty in the P.J. Kemmeter store since Monday. Glad to see you back, Hank.

Miss Ruth Huntzicker spent Friday night with her friend Miss Beth Free at Neillsville.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dehler of La Valle came Friday for a visit at teh Geo. King home.

Edwin Haltaufderheide went to Marshfield Monday.

Jack Nelson of Route 4 was a county seat visitor on Monday.

Arno Ross was a Marshfield visitor on Wednesday.

P.E. Cranston of Route 1 made a business trip to Auburndale Wednesday.

Mrs. Frank Davis was a Neillsville visitor on Saturday.

Mrs. A. marten went to Chili on Monday.

Fred Pizer and son Gordon came home from their Richland County visit on Monday.

Geo. Fraser went to Camp Douglas Monday on a visit to Arthur Stallman and family.

Mrs. Margaret Hubing went home to Athens Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke moved to Neillsville and into their own home there this week.

Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Witte entertained Mrs. Gehrke and little son of Fairchild on Monday.

Miss Pearl Murphy of Lindsey is working for Mrs. Mot Osgood since Monday.

Rush Wentworth is having his farm house re-sided and general overhauled both externally and internally.

Richard Frome of White hall, one of Uncle Sam's boys now at Rockford, Ill., recently visited his sister Mrs. Will Shafter on Route 1.

Dewitt Curtiss and Ernest Hanson of Chicago, after a 12 days visit here, left for home Tuesday night.

Mrs. J. Reiff and two youngest sons came home from Burlington on Thursday.

John Fraser of Chili and his brother Harry Fraser of Beloit were guests of the Geo. Fraser family here a couple of days last week.

The Misses Elsie Neitzel and Violet Hollenbach went to Milwaukee on Thursday. Miss Elsie is on a vacation visit and pleasure trip, while Violet goes for an extended stay.

Richard Anding of Altoona joined his wife and son Verland here on their visit at the Phillip Breseman home last Saturday and left on the return trip to Altoona on Monday evening.
