Huntzicker, George (1831 - 12 MAR 1915)
George Huntzicker, one of the earliest settlers of Clark County, died last
Friday at his home at Clarkston, Wash. He was born in Alsace, Germany, in 1831,
came to Hartford, Conn., in 1849, and then settled in Clark County in 1856. He
engaged in the hotel business here for many years and was prominently identified
with various Neillsville enterprises. He is survived by his wife, two sons,
George and Frank, and one daughter, Mrs. W.C. Brooks, of Lewiston, Mont. The
remains were brought to Marshfield Tuesday and the funeral was held there
yesterday afternoon. We hope to be able to publish a more complete account of
the life of this estimable gentleman next week.
