Southwest Grant (18 MAR 1915)
The Shield boys finished loading the car of hay Saturday.
A few wolf tracks have been seen in Mr. Speigel’s yard and as there us no bounty
on this kind of a wolf, he has not yet been caught.
We hear that a few weeks ago while Albert Walker was going to the woods he met a
bull, and seeing that the animal was on the war path he decided that the safest
place for him was up in a tree. So Albert sat in the tree singing songs and
telling stories to the animal nearly all afternoon. Finally he succeeded in
getting him good natured again and got down from his perch and went home none
the worse for his adventure.
