Pleasant Ridge (18 MAR 1915)
May Huckstead, one of the school girls, had the misfortune to lose her domestic
science work Monday a.m. between Bert Huckstead’s and the fair grounds. The work
was wrapped in green paper.
John Counsell and wife spent Sunday with Jim Baker and family in Levis.
Miss Newell resigned on account of sickness. Allie Root of York took her place
Monday and boards at Arlo Huckstead’s.
Mrs. Joe Counsell and daughter, Nina, and Mrs. Ed. Huckstead spent Tuesday with
Mrs. Blackman.
Wm. Swann is doing carpenter work at Geo. Swann’s this week.
Mrs. Alvin Eisentraut and Mrs. Bert Swann attended the Aid in Shortville at Tom
Winters’ last Thursday.
Two or three families of young people spent Saturday evening at Will Waterman’s.
Aleada Brown won out in the contest at the Big Store and received quite a prize.
