C. Heckert spent Friday at the Otto Becker home.
Miss Gertrude Holmes held a bible study meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Opelt last Thursday evening.
Robert Nankivil visited at the John Altenburg home Sunday.
Mrs. Chas. Moths was called to Eau Claire on account of the illness of her
cousin.
The school children gave a birthday party for Rose Yankee and Johnnie Ure at the
town hall Thursday evening, their birthdays being on the same day. There was a
double celebratiion.
Miss Lillie Opelt gave a Valentine party at her home in honor of her many
friends. It was one of the most interesting events of the season.
Henry Sternitzky and daughters Helen and Anna spent Thursday at the A. Pusheck
home in East Lynn.
Carl Helm spent Sunday at home.
A number of our young people attended the masquerade at Granton Saturday
evening.
Mrs. John Martin was called to Neillsville Sat. to assist in the care of Mrs.
Servaty who is quite ill. She returned home Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Riedel and children spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Gotter.
The basket ball game between Lynn and Pleasant Ridge Saturday night ended in a
victory for Lynn, score being 13 to 29 in favor of Lynn.
Mrs. John Martin will entertain the Carnation Art Club Thursday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mayhew and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Preston entertained at the
formers home Friday evening. The Max Opelt, John Martin and R. T. Washburn
families were among the invited guests from here. A very enjoyable time was
reported. A danty [sic] luncheon was served before their departure for home.
John Breseman will give a dance at the town hall Saturday night. Supper will be
served at Max Opelt’s.
Mrs. Ed. Steinbach and brother were Granton callers Monday.
The Misses Olga and Elsie Speiser, Lovilla Sternitzky and Selma Gotter visited
Sunday with the Misses Rosa and Irene Viergutz.
