Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jeske are now making their home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) a
honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin.
Miss Ida Hoffmann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Hoffmann of Colby, and Robert
J. Jeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Jeske of Owen exchanged nuptial vows at St.
Mary's Catholic Church, Colby, Saturday, June 1, 1963, at 10:30 a.m.
The bride was given in marriage by her father for the double ring service read
by the Rev. John Pinion, who also officiated at the nuptial high mass.
The bride wore a bouffant gown of white Chantilly lace over nylon tulle designed
with a fitted bodice with a Sabrina neckline, cap sleeves and lace mitts. Her
fingertip veil was held by a tiara of seed pearls and aurora borealis crystals.
She carried a round bouquet of pink roses and white carnations with streamers of
rosebuds.
Miss Carrie Hoffmann of Colby, a sister of the bride, was the maid of honor an d
Mrs. William Jeske of Cambria, sister-in-law of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
They were attired in street length dresses of orchid nylon sheer made with
Sabrina necklines, detailed with a bow at the back and cap sleeves. Their
headpieces were made of matching short veil attached to crowns, adorned with
pearls. They wore shite shoes and gloves and carried bouquets of yellow
carnations tied with orchid bows.
William Jeske was his brother best man, and Jim Hoffmann, brother of the bride,
was groomsman.
Larry Jeske and Ted Hoffman, cousins of the bridal couple, performed the
ushering duties.
Wedding day festivities included dinner for the family and a recption at the
home of the bride's parents, from 2 to 5 p.m., and a dance at Cherokee Hall from
8 to 12 o'clock.
Mr. Jeske and his bride are both graduates of the Colby High School with the
class of 1961. He attended Northland College at Ashland and Taylor County
Teachers' College at Medford. Mrs. Jeske attended Stout State College,
Menomonie, where she was affiliated with the Dietetics Club and the A.D.A.
