Perkovich, Jennie (1895? - 26 JUN 1963)
Mrs. Jennie Perkovich, 68, of Glidden, mother of Mrs. Donald "Butch" Ingersoll
of Abbotsford, was fatally injured about 7:30 p.m. Saturday when she was struck
by a car while standing in her back yard. A car driven by William Michel crashed
through a nearby fence and pinned her against the building, causing severe leg
and pelvic injuries.
She was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, Ashland, where she died a few hours
later.
Mrs. Perkovich was born in Yugoslavia and lived in the Ashland area all her
life. Besides her daughter in Abbotsford, she is survived by her husband, Mark;
three other daughters, Mrs. Roy Galbec, Minneapolis, Mrs. Knut Dalseth,
Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Mrs. Robert Bay, Glidden; and a son, Gerald, Chippewa
Falls. There are 13 grandchildren.
