Loppnow (Ruehlow),
Mary (07 APR 1877 – 06 JAN 1963)
Mrs. William Loppnow, 85, Loyal, died at 4:15 p.m. Sunday
at her home of a stroke and old age complications.
She had been in poor health for many years.
Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday afternoon a
2p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home with Rev. Alden Moldenhauer officiating .
Burial was to be in the Lutheran
cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements.
The former Mary Ruehlow was born in Hartford on April 7,
1877 and received her education there in the German Parochial School.
On February 28, 1899, she was married in Hartford to William Loppnow who
died in June of 1958.
After their marriage the couple lived in Hartford for two
years after which they came to Clark County and settled in the town of Beaver
where they lived for five years.
They then moved to a farm in the town of Eaton where they resided for five
years. In 1915 they moved to the
city of Loyal where they have resided since.
Mrs. Loppnow was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the Women of
the Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry (Martha) Voss
of Horicon, a son Karl Loppnow of Loyal; six grandchildren and thirteen
great-grandchildren. Two sons, three
sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
