Hagen, William (08 DEC 1882 – ?  FEB 1963)

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for William Hagen(s), 80 formerly of Loyal.  Mr. Hagen died at 1 p.m. in Victory memorial Hospital, Stanley, of old age complications.

Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the Requiem High Mass and burial was made in the parish cemetery.  The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  A general rosary service was said there Sunday evening.

Pallbearers were Lawrence Davel, Robert Weyer, Mike Weyer, John Bannach, Bert Brown and Joe Hubing.  The church choir sang the High Mass.

Mr. Hagen(s) was born December 8, 1882, in Brown County and was married to Henrietta Gerrits on June 18, 1912  at Hollandtown.  Following their marriage the couple moved to a farm east of Loyal where they lived until 1952 when they retired and moved to the city of Loyal.

Since the death of his wife on November 30, 1958, Mr. Hagen has made his home at the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen.  He was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Richard (Lorena) Czechalinski, Milwaukee; six sons, Norbert, Fall River; Joseph, Dawson, North Dakota; Edward, Beaver Dam; Lawrence, Eau Claire; Robert, Hillside, Illinois and Clarence, Bloomington, Minnesota; and twenty grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Czechalinski and son, Milwaukee; Mr. and   Mrs. Lawrence Hagen and family, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Hagen, Fall River; Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hagen, Beaver Dam; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hagen, Hillside, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hagen, Bloomington, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. John Gerrtis, Mrs. Alfred Schmidt, Kaukauna; Mrs. William Gerrits, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Burke, Mrs. Ray Lang, Appleton; Mrs. Herb Gerrits, Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gerrits, Hollandtown.
