Hartzell, Robert W. (29 MAR 1904 - 15 JUL 1963)

Funeral services for Robert W. Hartzell, 59, of rural Abbotsford, who died Monday at 7:45 p.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital following a lingering illness, are being held this morning, July 18, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, at 9:30 a.m.

The Rev. Raymond B. Schulz will officiate. Interment will be made in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Chippewa Falls.

A parish rosary service was held Wednesday evening. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Polnaszek Funeral home.

Mr. Hartzell was born March 29, 1904, in Chippewa County. He received his education at Chippewa Falls. He was married to the former Winifred C. Rooney at Chippewa Falls on Sept. 2, 1936.

Mr. Hartzell had spent the past 19 years in the Abbotsford area.

He was preceded in death by Mrs. Hartzell, who died Feb. 22, 1956.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. E. B. (Suzanne) Tickell Jr. of Texas, Robert F., James L., Mary Wyn and Richard E., at home.

There are also two grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Max J. (Marion) Rosalack, Eau Claire; Mrs. Floyd (Norma) Berg, Gilman; and Mrs. P.O. (Claire) Maxwell, LaMarque, Texas.

A brother, Lloyd, preceded him in death.
