The Rev. Milord Gilbert officiated at the wedding of his son, Jonathon Glen
Gilber, Waupun, and Miss Judith Myers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy J. Myers
Sr., Waupun, Saturday, June 29, 1963.
Rev. E.F. Erdmann, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Waupun, assisted at
the 2:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bridegroom's parents reside in Colby.
Escorted to the alter by her father, the bride appeared in a floor length gown
with a full skirt of nylon and an overskirt of lace and tulle. Other details of
styling were a scalloped neckline and a fitted bodice of lace over satin. Her
bouffant veil was attached to a rhinestone tiara and she carried a white Bible
accented with red roses.
The bridal attendants carried carnations in colors to match their dresses. Miss
Sharon lawson, Cambridge, Md., the maid of honor, and Mrs. Roy Myers Jr., Miss
Ruth Gilbert and Miss Bernice Bader were the bridesmaids. A street length dress
of blue nylon and lace with full gathered skirt and lace jacket was worn by the
maid of honor. The bridesmaids wore similar dresses in orchid, yellow and pink.
Bon Sue Scheuerman and Karen Gilbert served as flower girls and ring bearers
were Tommy Spears and Dale Gilbert.
The bridegroom chose Philip gilbert as his best man and Roy Myers Jr., Danny
Spencer and Charles Hein as the groomsmen. Ushers were Richard Myers and Alden
Gilbert.
Approximately 200 guests wer entertained at a reception held in the Washington
School gymnasium, Waupun.
The bride is a graduate of Waupun High School and her husband, who graduated
from Dorchester High School, is employed by the Dorst Metal Co., Mayville. The
newlyweds are residing at 520 1/2 E. Main St., Waupun.
