Jim and Sharon Colby, Colby, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kayla Lynn Zopfi, to Travis Allan Nixdorf, the son of Allan and Mary Nixdorf, Abbotsford.

Kayla is a 2007 graduate of Colby High School and is a 2008 graduate of Northcentral Technical College, where she earned a degree in certified nursing assistance. She lives in Abbotsford and is currently employed as a CNA at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

Travis is a 2005 graduate of Abbotsford High School and a 2007 graduate of Northcentral Technical College, where he earned a degree as a firefighter/EMT. He lives in Abbotsford and is currently employed with Spirit Medical Transport at St. Joseph’s Hospital and also serves as an EMT for the Abbotsford Ambulance Service.

An October 12, 2013 wedding is being planned.
