In a double ring ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saturday morning, July 13, 1963, Miss Penny Lynn Schreiber became the bride of Dennis Harlen Kalmon. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Schreiber, Colby, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Kalmon, Medford.

The Rev. Ambrose Blenker officiated at teh nuptial high mass which was performed at 11:30 a.m. The altars were decorated with delphinium, white hydrangeas and pink Phlox. Music was furnished by Mrs. Al Gabriel, organist, the children's choir and William Gries, soloist. Two selections, "The Lord's Prayer" and "Ave Verum Corpus Natum" were sung by Mr. Gries.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared before the altar attired in a full length ivory colored gown. The gown was styled with a bateau neckline and elbow length sleeves and an empire waistline with a controlled skirt. The chapel train, attached at the shoulders, was trimmed with silk organza and bordered with Italian embroidery. The shoulder length veil of tulle was fastened to a closed headpiece trimmed with identical material and embroidery of the grown. The bride carried an upright bouquet of lilies of the valley.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Joann Schreiber, and the bridesmaids were Miss Joan Henlik, Green Bay, Miss Pat Moede, Spencer, and Miss Pat Kalmon, Medford. They wore linen dresses of sweet pea pink, fashioned with A styled waistlines and semi-flared skirts. Their headpieces were ivy gorhams and each one carried a cascade of lavender sweet peas. Linda Kalmon, Niece of the groom, was flower girl, and her dress was a miniature likeness the same color as the bridesmaids. She carried a basket of sweet peas.

The ring berarer was Joey Scidmore.

Walter Wagner, Janesville, attended the groom as best man. Groomsmen were James Knabe, Medford, Dave Kalmon, Medford, and Russell Lindboe, Des Plaines, Ill.

After the wedding a buffet dinner was held at the Hotel Colby for 150 guests. A reception followed at 4 p.m. at the Schreiber residence.

The bride is a 1959 graduate of Colby High School and a 1962 graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Janesville. She has been employed at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rockford, Ill. The bridegroom is a graduate of Medford High School and a 1962 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He is employed as a mechanical engineer at Sunstrand Aviation, Rockford, Ill.

Following a honeymoon trip through northern Wisconsin, the couple will reside at 725 Gardner Ave., Rockford, Ill.

Mrs. Ray Gries was hostess to a miscellaneous shower given at her home in honor of Miss Penny Schreiber, July 10.
