Sleighing is good now and everybody is husling [sic] to get some hauling done
before it breaks up.
Herman Montag had a stone hauling bee Wednesday, 9 teams in the morning and 11
teams in the afternoon. He will put up a new home this spring.
Mrs. Degener and Miss Vivian were Neillsville business callers Wednesday.
F. Silk, H. Henning and others were at Granton Tuesday to look over the 2 cars
of horses that arrived that day.
Al Snow and M. Lastofka will ship stock from here Monday.
Chas. Bulgrin went to Marshfield Thursday and was operated upon for appendicitis
at the hospital there. It appears it was done none too early, but according to
last reports seems to be doing nicely.
Harry Mundt helped Clark Waterman break in the span of Hamiltonians which Clark
got a year ago.
Our new cheese maker Mr. Groentke took possession of the cheese factory the
first of this month and took good hold. His furniture arrived Monday, and he
will have his family here in a few days.
It is rumored that Geo. Lindow and a Miss Ehrhardt, daughter of Martin Ehrhardt
who used to live in this town, were married, Wed.
Geo. Lindow had bought some furniture lately, so it must be true. He is going to
have a barn built this summer.
