Monday morning the entire stock of general merchandise owned by C. F. Thorbers
of Sparta and managed at this place by P. J. Tilton was taken over by E. E.
Reitan of Red Wing, Minn., who will conduct the business under the name of the
Security Mercantile Co. of Lindsey. Ed. Hahm, an employee, is retained as
manager assisted by Geo. Graham of Red Wing. The gentlemen bid for a generous
share of trade and assume the public that they do business right.
The R. N. A. will give a leap year dance at their hall at Nasonville, March
15th.
H. Hahm and Chas. Reitan called on Louis Reichert of Chili, Sunday.
B. B. Hamilton an expert from Minneapolis spent two days here last week
invoicing the Thorbers stock.
T. Ingle an old settler and a prominent Mason is very ill at this writing. Mr.
Ingle is past 90 years of age.
