Audorff, August O. (28 November 1904 - 9 October 1967)
Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Calvary
Lutheran Church in Neillsville for August O. Audorff, 62, of Rt. 3 Neillsville,
who died Monday in Superior. The Rev. E. G. Burtness will officiate. Burial will
be made in the Butlerville Cemetery, near Thorp.
August O. Audorff was born November 23, 1904, in Clark County. He was the son of
the late John and Meta (Emmerman) Audorff. He received his education in the
rural schools of Clark County. He was engaged in farming and did construction
work.
He w as married October 16, 1928, in Neillsville to the former Rosa *Studniebka.
In 1942 the family moved to the Neillsville area, where they farmed. Mr. Audorff
also hauled milk for the old Neillsville Milk Products co-operative. For several
years he had been employed on road construction work, in which he was engaged at
the time of his death. (*this name was somewhat blotchy, so trust that I spelled
it correctly.)
He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church; International Union of Operating
engineers, Local No. 139.
Mr. Audorff is survived by his wife; three children, Mrs. Lawrence (Geneva)
Smith of Augusta; Mrs. Bertha Maslanka, and Mrs. Donald (Midge) Lewandowski,
Rockford, Ill.; and three brothers, Ledwig, Cornell; Johanas and Ernest, both of
Cadott; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from the Georgas Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Friday to the
church, where it will lie in state until the time of the service.

Augusta, Mrs. Bertha Maslanka, and Mrs. Donald (Midge) Lewandowski, Rockford,
Ill.; and three brothers, Ledwig, Cornell and Johanas and Ernest, both of
Cadott.
Pallbearers were: Arnold Karl, Frank Maslanka, I. B. Mathews, Robert Opelt,
Harold Milbreit and Otto Wetzel. Frederick Kieser sang, “How Great Thou Art” and
“Abide with me” accompanied by Mrs. E. G. Burtness.
