Horace Kind is slowly recovering.
Mr. and Mrs. O.G. Tripp were in town Friday calling on friends.
Mrs. Arthur Walworth, who has been very ill, is slowling recovering.
Miss Alice Rathborn of Arcadia is here to visit several weeks with friends.
J.B. Roberts, who has been here for some time, took the train Tuesday for the
Falls.
Mrs. Archie Cawkins, who had visited here three weeks, returned to Eau Claire
Tuesday.
Thursday evening the social going people will meet with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
Houghton.
Preparations are being made for a harvest dance at Odd Fellows Hall, Friday
evening, Aug. 28.
Mrs. Carrie Hartman came home Friday evening to stay over Sunday with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Clark.
Elice Fowler, who has had charge of Owens' boarding house, has given it up and
moved his family into town. Mrs. Salone now takes charge of it.
Mrs. Chas. Hackney and daughter, forermly of this place, but now of Ashland,
Neb., arrived here last week to visit several months with relatives and friends.
Saturday evening the young people gave Will Albright a pleasant surprise.
Refreshments were served and all went home at a late hour feeling that they had
had a jolly time.
