Mr. and Mrs. William Dankemyer of Granton, Rt. 1, who were married by Rev.
Martin Hasz October 17, 1917, in Zion Lutheran Church in Granton, celebrated the
golden anniversary of their marriage on Sunday, October 29, in the church
parlors.
The parlors were the setting for an open house from 2 until 5, with tables
decorated with bouquets of chrysanthemums and fall colors.
Gold colored roses were used for Mrs. Dankemyer’s corsage, and gold carnations
were used for Mr. Dankemyer, as well as for corsages by their daughters and
husbands.
William Dankemyer, son of the late August and Carrie Dankemyer, was born in the
Town of Fremont December 5, 1893, and attended school in that township. He lived
in Fremont before he married and worked on the home farm.
The Dankemyers are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Granton.

Mrs. John Martin in Lynn, where they reside. He still operates the farm. Mr.

marriage. His hobby is raising flowers.

(Ione) Jevens, of Portage; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There were 100 guests present for the golden event, from Plymouth, Milwaukee,
