Mr. and Mrs. Charles Emmanuel of Eau Claire and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Langner of
August were dinner and supper guests Sunday at the Charles Maegdefessel home.
Golden Link Camp, R. N. A., held a costume party at the October meeting in the
Kiwanis rooms. Deputy Caroline Seidl of Marshfield attended.
Mr. and Mrs. William Vetrone entertained friends Monday evening at a farewell
party for their son, William, who is leaving this week from Minneapolis, Minn.,
for Kentucky for eight weeks of basic army training.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Evans returned Saturday to Minneapolis, Minn., after spending
a week with his sister, Mrs. Leona Landgraf, and attending the funeral of Lester
Landgraf.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Markus of Rt. 2 Kewaskum, announce the adoption of a
fourteen week old son, Steven James. The grandparents are Mrs. Irma Stucki of
Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. John Markus of Sheboygan.
Atty and Mrs. Wayne W. Trimberger entertained his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Trimberger of Granton Monday evening in honor of his mother’s birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wachholz and two sons of St. Paul, Minn., were weekend guests
of his mother, Mrs. Leonard Wachholz. Joining the family group for Sunday dinner
were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Simek and Jim Simek.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prock and Milton returned home Monday from Bettendorf, Ia.,
where they spent the week end with their son, Maynard, and his family. Sunday
they attended the first communion of their grandson, Mike Prock. Milton was his
baptismal sponsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Melnard Hanson of Milwaukee moved Saturday onto their farm south of
Greenwood.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ruedy visited Sunday in Cochrane with his mother, Mrs. William
Ruedy, his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Moore and with Mrs. Ruedy’s
brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Elkamp.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hoesly of Flat Rock, N. C., were weekend guests of his sister,
Miss Ann Hoesly, and his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hoesly. Saturday
they attended the 100-year anniversary of the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. and Mrs. William Crow of Warren, Minn., here for the Masonic Lodge
anniversary observance, spent part of the weekend visiting friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Short and son attended a Mink Field Day Sunday in Stratford.
Clarion Counsell is convalescing at his home following a period of
hospitalization.
