Schilling, Nancy (25 May, 1945-17 Nov. 2012)
Nancy C. Schilling, 67, Chili, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family,
on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. A
celebration of her life will be held from 2-5 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 9, at
Immanuel United Methodist Church, Chili with a memorial service at 5 p.m., and a
meal to follow.
Nancy C. Hansen was born on May 25, 1945, in Marathon County, the daughter of
Harold and Mildred (nee Warren) Hansen. She attended Veefkind and Spencer
schools. Following graduation, she worked at Felker Ford in Marshfield. She
married Philip Schilling on May 7, 1966. She and Phil raised their family in
Chili. She also assisted Phil in the family business, and was an auxiliary
member of Gideon’s International. She taught Bible School and Sunday School, and
was assistant youth director at Immanuel United Methodist Church, Chili. Her
hobbies included following the sport of her son’s auto racing and daughter’s
horse showing and truck pulling. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family,
especially holiday meals and other special family events. Flowers were her
passion.
Nancy is lovingly survived by her husband, Philip Schilling, Chili; a daughter,
Lisa (Pat) Ule, Chili; two sons, Luke (Stacy) Schilling, Granton, and Lance
Schilling, Park Rapids, Minn.; two grandchildren, Cole and Dillon; a sister,
Ruthanne Rahm, Marshfield; two sisters in law, Sandy Hansen; and Marjorie
Hansen; as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mildred Hansen; and three
brothers, Raymond Hansen, Donald Hansen, and Allan Hansen.
