Robert E. Lloyd, 74, Kronenwetter, formerly of Loyal, died on Friday, Nov. 30,
2112, at his home, under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 8, at Highland Community
Church, Wausau. Rev. Jeff Hinds will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven
Cemetery, Kronenwetter. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of
services at the church. There will be a service conducted by the VFW Mens
Auxiliary at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Robert E. Lloyd was born on May 8, 1938, in Loyal, the son of Ray and Loretta
(nee Alberts) Lloyd. On June 1, 1963, he married Norleen Christiansen in Racine.
She survives. In 1965, Robert, along with his brother, Donald, co-founded the
Lloyd Brothers Trucking Company. Following retirement, Robert founded Lloyd
Builders in the Wausau and Mosinee areas. Most recently, he enjoyed owning and
operating Little Grandpa’s Small Engine Repair in Kronenwetter. He was a member
of the Rib Mountain Snowmobile Club and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Mens
Auxiliary Post No. 8280, Wausau. He was an usher, greeter and active member of
the Highland Community Church. Among some of his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed
hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Norleen Lloyd, Kronenwetter; four children, Deb
(Steve) Winterhack, Waupun, April (David) Baneck, Wausau, Norbert (Becky) Lloyd,
Kronenwetter, and Kelly (Dave) Bandock, Wausau; 12 grandchildren, Christopher
(Betsy) Winterhack, Amanda (Ryan) Stueber, Derrick Winterhack, David Baneck,
Jordon Baneck, Devan Lloyd, Tyler Wilke, Brianna Lloyd, Carley Bandock, Ethan
Bandock, Saige Bandock and Jonathon Bandock; three sisters, June Prior, Loyal,
Angie (Dale) Fravert, Loyal, and Rita (John) Niswonger, Florida; one
sister-in-law, Jean Lloyd, Wausau; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Harold
Lloyd.
