Rahn, Martha L. (14 APR 1885 - 19 AUG 1963)
Mrs. Martha Louise Rahn, 78, of Unity, died at 9:40 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's
Hospital in Marshfield of a ruptured appendix.
Funeral services have been tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in Zion
Lutheran Church in Colby. Burial will be in the Green Grove Cemetery. The body
is now lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rahn was born in Colby April 14, 1885, to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Altenberger.
She married Fred Wiegman in 1908 and they farmed in the town of Colby (Clark
Co., Wis.) until his death in 1923. She married Otto Rahn in 1929 and they
continued to farm until 1946. They moved to Colby and lived there until his
death in 1953. Since that time she has lived with her children.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Eleanor) Edblom of Unity and Mrs.
Walter (Bernita) Stecker of Marshfield; a son, Merlin Wiegman of Oshkosh; three
sisters, Mrs. John (Frances) Tauschak of Luxembourg, Mrs. Edgar (Lydia) Laux of
Colby and Miss Pauline Altenberger of Sheboygan, and six grandchildren.
