Schulz, Myron M. (18 OCT 1936 - 26 AUG 1963)

Funeral services for Myron Schulz, 26, Colby, who was killed in an automobile accident early Monday morning, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church at Colby.

Mr. Schulz, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Schulz of Colby, was killed early Monday morning when the car he was reported to have been driving missed a curve on County Trunk P 6 1/2 miles east of Unity and struck a tree.

His brother, Arland Schulz, who was riding with him, was seriously injured and is being treated at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield for a skull fracture and other injuries.

The accident was discovered at about 2 a.m., and he was declared dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital at 3:05 a.m.

Officiating at the services Wednesday was the Rev. Leroy Urman. Burial followed in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were by Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby.

Myron Marlin Schulz was born Oct. 18, 1936, at Colby. Following his graduation from the Colby High School, he served in the Navy for four eyars. He had since served on active duty with the Naval reserve unit at Marshfield and held the grade of 1st Class Radio-man.

He attended Central State College at Stevens Point for three years and planned to attend this fall for his senior year. He previously graduated with honors from the DeVry Technical School at Chicago.

Mr. Schulz was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Colby and was an active member of the Walther League. He also taught Sunday school. At Stevens Point he was an officer of the 550 Veterans Club of the college, and he was the captain of his softball team.

Besides his parents and his brother, Arland, he is survived by another brother, Gerald, of Milwaukee.
