Peissig, Opal Barrett. (24 AUG 1963)
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence K. Gustafson are spending a week's honeymoon in Canada
following their wedding Saturday, Aug. 24, 1963.
Mrs. Opal Barrett Peissig of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mrs. J.
Barrett of Owen, and Clarence Karsten Gustafson of Wausau, son of K.C. Gustafson
of Wausau, were united in marriage at 6 o'clock in the evening at St. Paul's
American Lutheran Church at Curtiss. The Rev. Roger Tellock officiated at the
ceremony, during which Miss Bunee Kraut sang "The Lord's Prayer," Miss Rhonda
Mattson was the organist.
Attending the couple were Mrs. Floyd Klemetson of Curtiss, a friend of the
bride, and Charles Gustafson of Wausau, a brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in a royal blue suit with beige accessories. She wore a
corsage of a single white orchid.
Her matron of honor wore a powder blue suit with black accessories. Her corsage
was made of a cymbidium orchid and pink tea roses.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church hall.
The bride is employed as a bookkeeper and teller at the Owen-Curtiss State Bank
at Curtiss and her husband is an insurance salesman.
