Members of the Colby High School class of 1933 met for a 30th anniversary reunion on Saturday evening at Hotel Colby. Old acquaintances were renewed when they gathered for a 7:30 dinner served to 23 of the class and their husbands and wives, and teachers. Each member of the class was presented with a boutonniere of violets, the class flower. Table decorations also included vilet plants and lighted candles with a large floral centerpiece featuring the motto "Honor Lies at Labor's Gates."

Guest teachers present were Harry Bender, Colby, Archie Tweit, So. St. Paul, Minn., Roscoe Starkey, Manhattan, Kan. Mrs. Bender and Mrs. Starkey were also present.

Master of ceremonies Wilbur Becker welcomed the group and asked Mrs. Henrietta (Draeger) Becker to off grace before the meal.

Anecdotes and humorous happenings of schoold ays were recalled by the teachers prsent, with many a laugh from ths students involved. Each classmate present introduced his husband or wife and told of the last five years since the last reunion, and of their families.

Prizes were awarded to the following: classmate who came from the farthest distance, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sill, Kansas City, Mo., most children, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Reel, with 10, from Streator, Ill., most grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Reil, Oshkosh, with five, most grey hair, Mrs. Otto Sill (Marie Baumgart), the least hair, John Velek, man at the same job the longest, Clinton Loos, woman at the same job the longest, Mrs. Alois Gabriel (Bernadette Kraus).

John Velek, who is a collector of contemporary paintings, displayed a painting by a Hungarian painter, which he purchased in France, and will present to the Colby High School on behalf of the class of '33.

Mrs. Mary Tennis read letters received from absent teachers, Miss Dolores Flynn, Wausau, Spencer Wallace, Atlanta, Ga., Robert Dunbar, Bozeman, Mont, M.G. Hamel, Arpin, and Earl Starkey of Missouri.

Letters from absent classmates, Mrs. Farie (Kriplean) Call, Kankakee, Ill., Willard Zulke, Madison, Mrs. Genevieve (Krepsky) Neck, Savage, Minn., Mrs. Irma (Feind) Porter, Menomonee Falls, Mrs. Amelia (Sukup) Cramer, Berwyn, Ill. and Cornelius Foster, Butler, Wis.

Those who attended were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Tennis (Mary Umhoefer), Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baumgart, Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Alois Gabriel, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Luge (Margaret Hertz), Mrs. Henrietta Becker, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Fitzel (Ione Witte), Clinton Loos, all of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske (Emma Billmann), Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Miller, Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Maslewitz (Gertrude Dehne), Abbotsford, Francis Wallace, Mankato, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Velek, Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Jack Holland (Arlene Zulke), Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Weller (Anita Runzheimer), Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Kademan (Ruth Schulte), Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Arends, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sill (Marie Baumgart), Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Ben Reil (Edith Olson), Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weigman, Waukegan, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Reel, Streator, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Fonstad (Grace Fleischauer), Mauston, Mr. and Mrs. Wilgert Rasmussen, West Allis.

The group voted to meet again in five years.
