Shupe, Norbert (4 FEB 1922 - 8 SEP 1963)
Norbert Shupe, 41, route 1, Stratford, was killed early Sunday morning when hsi
car struck a bridge on a town road a half mile north of Highway 153, about 2
miles north of Marshfield. Marathon County authorities theorized teh accident
happened about 3:45 a.m., since his watch stopped at that time, and that fog may
have obscured his vision.
Mr. Shupe was employed as an insurance agent working out of the Dairyland Realty
office in Abbotsford.
Mr. Shupe was born in Marshfield Feb. 4, 1922, and educated in Auburndale
schools where he was graduated from high school in 1940. He was married to
Valeria Ebert June 10, 1944. They lived at Auburndale and alter at Dorchester
(Clark Co., Wis.) and recently in the Stratford area.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Ronald and Randy of Marshfield, and
Roger of Arpin. He also has one brother, Armin Shupe of Arpin.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at
Arpin and burial was made in the Arpin Cemetery.
