As the former Ruth Ann Wallo, Kenosha, approached the alter to become the bride of Raymond Frank Shefchik, Kenosha, she wore a floor length gown of silk mist taffeta fashioned with long tapered sleeves and a bouffant skirt extending into a chapel train.  The bodice was styled with an oval neckline outlined in re-embroidered Alencon lace.  She carried a full cascade bouquet of white Butterfly roses and white carnations fashioned with pearls, lacelon, net and fern leaves.

The bride chose her sister, Kathleen Wallo of Kenosha, to be her maid of honor and Mrs. Richard Wooden also of Kenosha, was the bridesmaid.  They wore frocks of copen blue nylon sheer over taffeta with three quarter sleeves and controlled skirts with back detail and bow interest.  The bodice was fashioned with an oval neckline and matching crowns with blush veils completed their attire.  Each held a cascade of yellow carnations and yellow button pompoms styled with net trim and yellow satin leaves.

Carolyn Canfield of Racine, a niece of the bride, was the flower girl.  She wore a floor length dress of white organza over blue peau and carried a cascade bouquet of yellow pompoms.  The bride’s nephew, Timothy Canfield of Racine, was ring bearer.

The groom’s brother, Elmer Shefchik of Kenosha, was best man, and Richard Shefchik of Greenwood, was groomsman.  Gerald Wallo, Kenosha, the bride’s brother, and William Lawrence, Kenosha, were ushers.

Wedding day events included a 12:30 dinner, reception and 7 o’clock buffet supper, all held at the V.F.W. Hall.  Patricia Worachek of Green Bay and Joan Venskus of Miami Springs, Florida, poured.

The bride, a graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing, Fond du Lac, is a registered nurse at St. Catherine’s Hospital, Kenosha.  Her husband is employed at American Motors Corporation, Kenosha.
