Goeltz, Frank W. Jr. (09 OCT 1927 - 06 DEC 2012)

Frank W. Goeltz Jr, age 85, of Colby, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

Frank was born October 9, 1927, to Mae (Bradley) and Frank Goeltz, Sr. in Colby. After graduating from Colby High School, he served his country in the Navy during WW2.

Frank and Kathryn Phillips were joined in marriage on May 1, 1948, in Colby. He was a rural mail carrier for the Colby Post Office for many years.

He was a member of the Colby Methodist Church and the Mason’s. Frank enjoyed traveling, playing cards and golfing.

Frank is survived by his children, Linda (John) Hart, Colby; Kay (Eldon) Westberg, Phillips; Nancy (Wayne) Sterzinger, Eau Claire; Glen (Peggy) Goeltz, Marshfield and Margaret (Allen) Flaskrud, Mondovi; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances (Delbert) Neitzel, Winter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A funeral service was held Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Colby. Burial followed the service at the Colby Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the Colby VFW Post #2227.
