Pleasant Ridge (8 APR 1915)
The Aid at Mrs. Altemus’ last Wednesday was well attended. About $6.00 was taken
in. All had a fine time in the spacious Altemus home.
April 3rd a son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Williams on the Jahr place and on
April 4th a daughter was born to Albert Waters and wife. The mothers and their
babes are doing nicely.
Did someone find an umbrella? Dorothy Huckstead lost hers on the way home from
school Monday.
Henry Hoseley of Neillsville spent the weekend with Clifford Blackman.
Mrs. Ed. Huckstead spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week in Neillsville.
Edna Snyder of Neillsville spent three or four days of last week with Nina
Selves.
Geo. Howard and wife spent Sunday with Mrs. Blackman.
Mrs, H. Counsell spent Saturday at her son, Joe’s.
Dan Hughes of Waldow spent a few days of last week with his brother, Jim, and
family.
Ira Slocomb of Madison spent part of last week with his parents.
Tom Huckstead delivered two fine cows to Guy Youmans Saturday.
Ella and Ruby Raine spent a few days of last week with Mrs. Counsell.
A few relatives and friends ate warm sugar at H.A. Huckstead’s Saturday evening.
Tom Huckstead did a good job dragging the road last week.
Leon Stanley sawed wood for Herb Counsell last Wednesday.
Hattie Drescher was an over-night guest at Lon Huckstead’s last Tuesday.
Mrs. Sarah Selves spent last Thursday with Mrs. Lon Huckstead.
Lon Huckstead shingled Julius Drescher’s home last week.
Mrs. John Howard spent Sunday with Mrs. Ed. Selves.
